Petcurean Pet Nutrition is pleased to announce several new key positions within North America to support our customers within the Independent pet trade. These new positions will help to ensure strategic management of our growth and maintain our commitment to excellence in customer service.

General Manager - Rick van Schagen
Rick has eighteen years of business management experience working with companies in the private sector. Most recently, he worked for thirteen years with a major Canadian financial institution. Rick’s commitment to service and brand integrity will enhance our aggressive growth strategy in coming years.

National Sales Manager - Ryan Hinson
Ryan has been a key part of our success in the by developing strong relationships with distributors and retailers alike. Prior to his employment with PPN, Ryan has had extensive experience managing an independent pet food distribution center. His passion for the industry and enthusiasm has fueled our customer’s interest in our products.

Sales Assistant - Heather Foseid
Heather comes with extensive experience in a natural health food sector. She will be assisting US National Sales Manager Ryan Hinson. Heather loves pets and is passionate about the health and well-being of our animals.

Southeastern USA Retail Business Development - Bill Schernekau
Bill has 21 years of experience in sales and marketing. His dedication and commitment to the profession resulted in a position of VP of Sales & Marketing within the golf industry. We expect Bill to provide our retail partners with new and exciting marketing/sales ideas that will support our strong growth initiatives in the Southeastern United States .

Western USA Retail Business Development – Todd Hutchens
Todd has been involved with the natural pet food sector for the past three years and represented a major pet food brand within the Pacific Northwest . Todd is very enthusiastic and well versed on the value of quality ingredients, which supports PPN’s goals and objectives in selecting quality ingredients.

Eastern Canada Retail Business Development – Lee-Ann Jones
Lee-Ann has had extensive retail experience in the pet industry. Her experience in a retail environment, her energy, and her passion for pets will add to one of the most qualified sales teams in , led by Cory Parsons.

Business Development Team Expansion
Go! Natural, Now! Grain Free and Summit Holistic sales continue to be extremely strong within . In keeping with our long term commitment to independent retailers with excellent in-store customer service, promotions and quality products, Cory Parsons will be expanding our Canadian sales team in the Alberta/Saskatchewan and Manitoba markets.

Petcurean Ramping Up Green Initiatives

In addition to the other ongoing green initiatives, Petcurean is pleased to announce that all product brochures and coupons are now printed on FSC certified paper.

Nutro Cat Food Voluntary Recall

We are very sympathetic to Nutro consumers and Nutro Products Inc. We want to inform our customers, retailers and distributors that we have checked our foods and premixes and they are not affected by the recent recall and are safe for consumption. All of our vitamin and mineral premixes are proprietary formulations that meet our specifications. We perform ongoing testing of these mixes and our final products, which remain consistent to our quality control specifications.

Turkey in Petcurean Products not Affected with Avian Flu

Due to the recent discovery of a strain of the Avian Flu on one turkey farm in Abbotsford, BC, Canada, we felt it was important to issue a news bulletin to our customers assuring them the supply of Turkey meat.

All of our dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, over 2600 miles away, and the turkey meats used in our formulas are all regionally sourced from local farmers. We are very proud of our regionally sourced ingredients and want to assure you that in no way have our pet foods or ingredients come in contact with these infected birds.

Export Manager Appointed
